Your privacy,
explained clearly.

This notice explains how iPear Tech Repair handles personal information supplied through our website, repair bookings, support requests and business enquiries.

Last updated: 5 November 2026

1. Who is responsible for your information?

iPear Tech Repair Limited is responsible for personal information collected through this website and in connection with its repair, sales, support and business services. In this notice, “we”, “us” and “our” mean iPear Tech Repair Limited.

Our business address is The Square, Mountbellew Demesne, Mountbellew, Co. Galway, H53 R5X2. For privacy questions, email policy@ipeartechrepairlimited.com.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect your name, contact details, company and job details, device details, repair ticket number, service history, communications with us, quote and order information, and payment or invoice details processed by an approved payment provider.

We also receive limited technical information when you visit the website, such as IP address, browser/device type, pages viewed and cookie preferences, where analytics or essential website tools are enabled.

3. How we use your information

  • to provide quotes, bookings, repairs, collections, deliveries and customer support;
  • to verify ownership, manage warranty claims and keep a repair history;
  • to respond to business proposals, account enquiries and complaints;
  • to process payments, prevent fraud and meet legal/accounting obligations;
  • to improve our services and website; and
  • to send service updates or marketing only where permitted and subject to your choices.

We use information where needed to fulfil a contract, respond to your request, meet a legal obligation, pursue a legitimate business interest, or where you have given consent.

4. Device data and repair access

We aim to repair devices without accessing personal content. Some diagnostics or software services may require a passcode, test account or access to the device. Back up your data before handing over a device and remove sensitive material where possible.

Our technicians only access information needed to diagnose, repair or test the device. We do not intentionally copy personal photos, messages, files or passwords. We cannot guarantee preservation of data during repair; data backup remains your responsibility unless a separate data-recovery service is agreed in writing.

5. Sharing and retention

We share information only with people and suppliers who need it to provide our services, such as payment processors, delivery partners, IT/hosting providers, professional advisers and public authorities where legally required. They must protect the information and use it only for the agreed purpose.

We keep information only for as long as necessary for the purpose collected, including warranty, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution and legal requirements. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

6. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time. To make a request, email us. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

7. Cookies

Cookies are small files placed on your device. Essential cookies may be needed for website operation. Optional analytics or advertising cookies should only be activated after the appropriate notice and consent mechanism has been implemented. You can also manage cookies in your browser settings.
